Yes, if you remove them from your list, you will still appear on their list unless they remove you. They also will be able to see you when you're online. However, you can block them from seeing you online by clicking on Messenger on the top of the screen, and then choosing Preferences from the drop-down list. In the left hand side of the box that opens, there will be a Category list. Click on Ignore List. Click the Add button. Then, type the person's ID that you want to ignore and click Ignore. Then just click ok, and they won't be able to send you any messages. Hope this helps.

On Yahoo Messenger..., you can't remove your name from someones friends list,
but you can block them from contacting you.
